El Al Flying on Shabbat AGAIN? December 21, 2006

See the damn photo. El Al said it was a “cargo plane” on a “test flight”.

El Al wants to keep losing up to 1 million shekels a day?

El Al CEO Romano said El Al considers its Haredi customers important clients, and vowed to “do everything so that they would continue to fly” with the carrier.

Uh-huh.

Skavanagila Says:

I don’t get it. Why would a Jew be upset with El-Al if they chose to offer flights on Shabbat to those pasengers and crew - no matter their religion - who want to fly from sundown Friday till Sat???

There is no such thing as a “kosher airline”. Kosher food, yes - and that’s why I fly El-Al, but I wouldn’t be upset of the plane I rode flew on Shabbat.

Rediculous.
